The “Raisina Dialogue“, organised by the “Observer Research Foundation“, is the premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics from the “Republic of India“, held annually in New Delhi since 2016.
The “2026 Raisina Dialogue” from March 05-07 was held under the title “Saṁskāra – assertion | accomodation | advancement”.
Saṁskāra, in its deepest essence, is a civilisational tool, a statement of continuity. It is the inheritance of meaning that allows societies to assert their truth, accommodate their contradictions, and advance through refinement.
Raisina Dialogue 2026
Alexander Stubb (13th President of the “Republic of Finland”), who gave the official opening speech, talked about a “new multilateral moment”. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar (Union Minister of External Affairs of the “Republic of India”) talked about the need to reform the “United Nations” (UN) towards stronger multilateralism amid increasing multipolarism.
Mr. Stubb revers to a “New Delhi Moment”, to reform the “United Nations Security Council” and the “Bretton Woods System“, which includes most importantly the “International Monetary Fund” (IMF) and the “World Bank Group“. Mr. Jaishankar welcomes this and is confident that the so-called “Global South” will lead towards a new global order. Both agreed that this has to be done with respect for global diversity and based on good values.
