We want the best people all over the planet work together for the best global democracy concepts. We have the strong believe in global collaboration within politics and research.

The “Supernational Democracy Dialogue” (SDD) was invented by Susanna Cafaro already in 2018 and aims to discuss latest politics and research based on the following core concept:

“Manifesto for Supranational Democracy“

We, Human Beings gathered in Lecce from different corners of the World;

Concerned about the future of Mother Earth and of the Human Family;

Caring about Future Generations of humans, animals and plants;

Supporting a model for sustainability and for the managing of public common goods in order to achieve the flourishing of all life;

Sharing the values of democracy, justice, solidarity and rule of law;

Committed to the promotion of fundamental human rights;

Recognising that the current system of divided states and non-binding inter-governmental agreements is insufficient for answering the acute global challenges of our time;

Recognising that ultimately the global provision of public goods requires having democratic mechanisms also at the global level;

Aware of the importance of respecting, preserving and building upon local, cultural and national identities;

Wishing to inspire all the other members of the Human Family:

Declare that

1. We need genuine democratic institutions at all levels, from the local to the global, in order to provide peace and equality inside the human family and harmony with nature;

2. We will promote and support democratic solutions to global challenges;

3. We will develop an inclusive dialogue about global democracy among all human beings, from all parts of the world, from all backgrounds and of all beliefs;

4. We will raise awareness among citizens, communities and populations about the need for supranational democratic governance which guarantees them a meaningful say over matters which affect them;

5. We will advance this agenda with every community, association, government and intergovernmental organization;

6. We hereby establish a permanent, open and inclusive platform to progress these discussions and activities.

The SDD is a recurring event, organised by the “Centre of Excellence EUmanity Demos” of “Università del Salento“, together with the “Association for Supranational Democracy“.

It is a two-day event – the only one of its kind – aimed at bringing together scholars from any background, activists, European and international officials, and innovative thinkers to discuss the most significant challenges facing humanity and how to address them democratically. In each session, panelists from different backgrounds interact with each other and engage the audience.

We aim to research and develop the best global governance organisation for the current and future global challenges.
