Innovation-Lead
Axel was born and raised in Vienna, and developed significant expertise in energy technology, with a special focus on renewable energies, at the “Vienna University of Technology” (TU Wien).
For 10+ years, he worked as a project manager at “Siemens”, specializing in electric drives.
In 1998, he founded and led “oekostrom AG” in Vienna as its “Chief Executive Officer” (CEO).
In 2012, he co-founded “Solar Shams” in Cairo and served as its “Chief Technical Officer” (CTO).
Since 2019, he has been a partner at “Interplan S.r.l.” and the president of “E3 International S.r.l.” in Bari, where he has been developing and operating solar and wind energy projects.
Since 2025, he has been based in “New York City” (NYC), where he is advancing our efforts to organise the first official global referendum on ‘climate action’ with potentially 5.5 billion people easily participating (they are connected to the World Wide Web).
