Change demands thinking and acting. Thinking is mostly supported by research, since (individual or collective) research develops our “understanding”. Acting is mostly supported by art, since (individual or collective) art is an act of “creativity”. Every (at least) human being is creative, since every human being acts. Living means acting and acting demands creativity. So we are all artist of our lives. What kind of artist we are depends on our understanding, our creativity, and our passion. The impact of our life determines the quality of our art, the quality of our oeuvre.
“The meaning of art is to impact. Art has to upset, to annoy, to shock the people. Otherwise, art is just nonsense.”
Oliviero Toscani
Having a clear mission, the way towards this mission is an act according to all “the rules of art” (wonderful paradox). Research let us understand, creativity let us become producer in a positive way, emotions let us be decisive, focused, and vivid.
“Truth is the invention of a liar.”
Heinz von Foerster
The concept of “love“, curiosity, the tireless vivid search for “truth” and new aesthetics let us be restless. The concept of “health” determines the meaning of our acting.
“Facts are perceptions that have become authorities.”
Jacques Derrida
The fear of “failure” is our constant companion, but we want to overcome it. We want to find the path from our minds to our hearts, and we want the competition for the best concepts, the core of democracy: debate, argument, and confrontation.
“There are two ways to live your life. (1) One is though nothing is a miracle. (2) The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
Albert Einstein
We clearly decide us for the second way. Like Picasso, we want to “see” the world through the eyes of a child.
“It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.”
Pablo Picasso
